Bizman has brought with it a transparency that previously did not exist, allowing management to identify constraints, manage resource requirements and also refine processes to improve the productivity of our staff and factory, as well as reduce the overall cost of manufacture by refining process and identifying more streamlined and efficient methods.

The system is very simple to use, and to manage, and the amount of manual input required is such that the benefit far outweighs any additional manpower and time required to keep the system up-to-date and accurate.
Customization
“Did you require BMT to be customized and if so how did it go ?”
We required that the Bizman system integrate with our own Estimating and production system that was already in place within the Company, and this integration was done seamlessly, in such a manner that the original system now also has further value to us via Bizman than was previously the case.

Hurdles of Implementation continued
1. Workers
The workers were obviously extremely circumspect regarding the introduction of Bizman, and also extremely suspicious about the Company’s intentions. This was easily overcome through Bizman’ s approach to the setting of Time Standards, and the involvement of the Workers directly in the setting and acceptance of these standards.
2. Management
The management of the Factory was very reluctant to accept the need for a new Computer system to manage the productivity and initially reacted to this as being just more work and more reports required to achieve the same thing. In fact, it became necessary to change certain of the Management staff, and this need again was highlighted by the introduction of Bizman, and exposed areas of weakness that otherwise may have been accepted by the Company.
Productivity Gains continued
We have an expectation of an improvement of 30 to 40% as a result of the implementation of Bizman, and have already realised a gain of more than 50% of this goal.
Another area highlighted by the implementation of Bizman was the other functions supporting the Production process, and the reliance that productivity has on the performance of these areas. As a result of this we have brought about numerous changes in our Procurement and Planning Departments that have already had a positive effect on productivity overall.
